Today we ran a fluke charter with Nick and the guys. Ran north of Belmar and started out with a lot of shorts, Drift calmed down and a few tried their hand at bucktailing to entice the fluke up. Panned out nice putting a couple 5 pounders in the cooler. spent the day in the area with a steady bite on each drift. Came home with 16 making it to the table. Good work fellas

Belmar fishing report for Stripers and Blackfish with Andy's crew. No brainer today to go get the Stripers early. All the signs were right in our face, Birds were out in force today. After the screen lit up with blobs upon blobs of fish it turned to chaos. Two reels eagle nested in the haste of getting jigs out. After passing out some boat rods we should get some commission from Avet! made some believers with the simplistic design and reliability of these reels. Any way we slung our limit plus blues in the box early. Put some soup on the stove and had an early lunch. Headed to the tog grounds and battled the Bergals. Vicious little bastards left and right. Bounced around and found one with the right life. Greg had a hefty one on that peeled drag back into the wreck and broke off. can't win 'em all but the overall quality of the fish coming up was nice. Ended with 1 shy of a limit.

Belmar fishing report for Striped bass and Tog with E.J's crew of 5. Change of pace today, we didn't see much close by so we decided to rig for white chins first. This proved to put a damper on things. Only two keepers, shorts and a small cod were winched up. After a frustrating morning we looked for some Bass. Boat traffic would be an understatement. No bait to be found after all the yahoos ran through so we trolled, Blues... We trolled, short Bass... Hey we had something to fight at least. Boxed some smaller blues and headed for the barn.

Belmar fishing report for Striped bass and Tog for the charter of Dale and crew. Every morning gets a little darker and harder to see any life off the bow. Luckily we had a good idea where to start looking from yesterday. Not too far off the mark we found something worth trying. Boy these fish were moving! Definitely a tough start following the fish and getting a shot at them. After too many missed hits and pulled hooks we broke the ice and landed a nice 29 pounder. Kept at it and followed up with another 5 before the guys wanted to try bottom. Slid over a nearby piece and unlike yesterday this was ones stop shopping.
